KATHMANDU: Nepal Police have taken several individuals into custody following the unauthorized online distribution of a question paper for Tribhuvan University’s (TU) Masters of Business Studies (MBS) first-semester examination.

The incident occurred during the “Organizational Behavior” exam on July 24, when the test paper was shared inside a WhatsApp group a mere five minutes after testing commenced at noon.

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) carried out the arrests on Sunday morning.

To investigate the breach, TU’s Examination Control Division formed a three-member panel headed by Achyut Gyawali, joined by Pushkar Raikhala and Mahesh Raj Ojha.

The committee has been given seven working days to deliver its findings.

TU officials noted that the examination itself will stand, explaining that annulment is unnecessary because the test paper was circulated only after students were already seated and taking the exam.
