KATHMANDU: The meeting of Nepal’s House of Representatives has resumed after being suspended for about an hour.
Speaker DP Aryal had initially adjourned the session for 15 minutes on Wednesday after opposition parties disrupted proceedings with slogans and protests.
The opposition lawmakers insisted that the meeting should not move forward unless Prime Minister Balen Shah was present in the House.
They have demanded that Prime Minister Shah personally respond to questions regarding the government’s policy and program during today’s parliamentary session.
Following the resumption of the meeting, discussions on the government’s policy and program have begun.
