KATHMANDU: Members of the National Assembly of Nepal on Wednesday said the dignity of Parliament could only be preserved through strict adherence to parliamentary decorum, while also pressing the government to address concerns raised during the joint session of the Federal Parliament.
Speaking during the emergency hour of the National Assembly meeting, lawmakers called for accountability from the government over issues linked to discussions on the government’s policies and programs.
Member of Parliament Padam Bahadur Pariyar urged Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal to ensure that deliberations on the government’s policies and programs proceed in the presence of Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen).
Similarly, MPs Suresh Ale Magar and Roshni Meche stressed that all political parties must respect and maintain parliamentary discipline and decorum during House proceedings.
