KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress, the main opposition party, has sought clarification from the Prime Minister over his absence from the House while the President was presenting the government’s policy and programme.
Raising the issue in Tuesday’s House of Representatives meeting, the party said the Prime Minister leaving during the policy presentation was not a normal incident.
Congress Chief Whip Basana Thapa said the move went against constitutional norms and parliamentary tradition, calling for respect for democratic practices and demanding a clear explanation from the Prime Minister.
