21 foreign women arrested in Thamel for obscene activities

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested 21 foreign women, including 20 Ugandans, for engaging in immoral and indecent activities in the Thamel area.

Authorities said the women were apprehended near Phirechowk, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26, after allegedly obstructing pathways for tourists and locals and soliciting obscene activities, causing public disturbance.

The District Police Range confirmed that the women are in custody, with a 12-day remand (judicial custody) granted by the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, while investigations are ongoing.
