KATHMANDU: The Nepali Embassy in Saudi Arabia has initiated efforts to repatriate Nepali workers who were left jobless after the bankruptcy of Jubail-based Sendan International Company.

Among the 469 affected workers, many have sought assistance for unpaid wages, returning to Nepal, or transferring to other employers in Saudi Arabia. In response, the Embassy has confirmed that it is actively engaging in diplomatic efforts to address these issues.

The Embassy stated that it has submitted the required documents to the appropriate Saudi labor office to process exit visas for those who wish to return home.

It has also formally requested the Saudi authorities to expedite visa issuance, particularly for former Sendan International employees.

Additionally, the Embassy is working closely with the Saudi Ministry of Labor and other relevant bodies to ensure that affected workers either receive their pending dues before returning to Nepal or are legally transferred to other companies for continued employment.

Affected Nepali citizens have been advised to remain calm and reach out to the Embassy for any urgent support related to food, shelter, or medical needs.
