KATHMANDU: Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre), convened a meeting today with political parties represented in the federal parliament, excluding the ruling parties Nepali Congress and CPN-UML.
The meeting was held at the Maoist Centre’s parliamentary party office in Singha Durbar.
According to the Prachanda Secretariat, the discussion centered on the “Political Party Self-Assessment Procedure, 2025,” a document sent by the Election Commission to all political parties, requesting their feedback by August 7.
Chairing the meeting, Prachanda highlighted concerns that some provisions of the procedure conflict with the current constitution, laws, and acts.
He emphasized the need for thorough discussion among the parties to develop a shared stance on the matter, prompting the convening of the meeting.
