KATHMANDU: The Council of Ministers met Friday morning ahead of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s visit to China.
The cabinet session, called by the Prime Minister’s private secretariat, began at 10 a.m.
Oli is set to travel to Tianjin on Saturday to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit from August 30 to September 3.
Upon arrival, he will hold a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed.
After the cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister will address the House of Representatives at 1 p.m.
He will later attend the 32nd anniversary celebration of the National Sports Council at 3:15 p.m.
