RASUWA: Two youths who had gone missing after a motorcycle accident were found dead in a stream at Gosainkunda Rural Municipality-6, Sole, Rasuwa district.

One body is being recovered using rope-rescue methods, while locals reported spotting the other body in the same stream.

The victims were identified as 24-year-old Sudip Ghale of Thade, Gosainkunda-6, and 23-year-old Dawa Dendup Tamang. The two were riding a motorcycle (plate no. AAA-3817) toward Dhunche on August 31 when they went missing.

After failing to contact them, the families filed a missing person’s report at Rasuwa District Police Office on September 2.

CCTV footage from an army checkpoint in Dhunche showed the duo traveling toward Thade around 10 p.m. on the same day.

Based on the footage, a joint search team of the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force was mobilized on the morning of September 2.

The team, led by APF Sub Inspector Mohabir Nagal, concluded that the motorcycle had veered about 250 meters off the road and crashed into the stream.

DSP Shailendra Thapa, assistant spokesperson of the APF, confirmed the discovery.
