KATHMANDU: The interim government has decided to establish a high-level judicial commission to investigate incidents and damages arising from the recent Gen-Z protests.
Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal said the decision was taken during the first cabinet meeting of the interim government held at Singha Durbar on Monday.
The commission, once formed, will look into reported atrocities, cases of excesses, property damage, and loss of life during the protests.
“The committee will be headed by a former chief justice or a senior judge, and the government will move forward based on its findings,” Aryal stated.
