KATHMANDU: Narayan Prasad Dahal, Chairperson of the National Assembly, held discussions with Prime Minister Sushila Karki regarding the National Assembly elections.
On Sunday, Chairperson Dahal visited the Prime Minister’s Office in Singha Durbar to consult with PM Karki about the provision requiring elections 35 days prior, as the term of one-third of National Assembly members is set to end on March 4, 2026.
After the discussions, Dahal informed that consultations also covered convening National Assembly sessions.
He added that during the Gen Z movement, the Parliament building was destroyed in a fire, and now, after arrangements were made for the hall, preparations are underway to convene the National Assembly.
