DHANUSHA: Former King Gyanendra Shah visited the renowned Janaki Temple in Janakpurdham to perform worship.
The former Head of the State prayed for the peace, prosperity, and welfare of the nation. Shah also took part in various religious ceremonies on the occasion.
It is stated that his visit attracted a large number of devotees and members of the public to the temple premises.
The former King Shah also visited he nearby Ram Temple, located approximately 500 meters from Janaki Temple, and paid his respects to the Rajdevi Temple.
Furthermore, he participated in the Ganga Aarti (prayer dedicated to river-pond) ceremony held at Gangasagar late this evening.
