BEIJING: Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shisir Khanal, held a bilateral meeting with Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Beijing today.
Taking to the social media platform Facebook, Foreign Minister Khanal shared details of his meeting with Haixing.
According to the Foreign Minister, the two leaders held a highly fruitful discussion focused on further strengthening Nepal-China relations, expanding party-to-party exchanges, and deepening people-to-people ties between the two nations.
During his official stay in China, Foreign Minister Khanal is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, to discuss bolstering Nepal-China relations and solidifying mutual cooperation.
He is also slated to hold separate high-level meetings with various senior Chinese officials.
With the objective of attracting foreign direct investment to Nepal, Minister Khanal will participate in an Investment Conference organized by the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing.
He is also scheduled to interact with Chinese entrepreneurs and business leaders during the event.
Furthermore, during his engagements in Beijing, Minister Khanal will address matters concerning the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
The Foreign Minister is scheduled to return to Nepal on June 17.
