KATHMANDU: A total of 22 climbers and guides successfully summited Mt Everest today, under an expedition organized by Seven Summit Treks.

The expedition team included international climbers from the United States, Poland, South Africa, Russia, Brazil, and Kosovo, alongside Nepali climbing guides. The company said all members reached the summit safely during the spring climbing season and are expected to descend back to base camp.

Among the international climbers who reached the summit were Rajan Lal, Kris Kosciarz, Pawel Padusinski, Willem Kempen Claassens, Anastasiia Sharapova, Murilo Vargas De Vasconcelos Cancado, Flutura Ibrahimi, Petrit Kllokoqi, and Francisco Marcio Da Silva Campos.

The Nepali summit team included Phurba Dorchi Sherpa, Dukchung Lama, Phursang Sherpa, Rinjin Sherpa, Sumba Chhiring Sherpa, Dawa Dorchi Sherpa, and several members of the Bhote climbing team.

The company stated that additional summit successes on Everest and Lhotse are expected in the coming days as the spring Himalayan climbing season continues.
