The District Administration Office, Bhaktapur has formed a probe committee today to ascertain the truth of Gaththaghar road accident in Bhaktapur.

Scooter rider Uttam Koirala, 65, of Okhaldhunga Chisankhugadhi rural municipality-4, Khahare, who has been residing in Kapan, Kathmandu, died on the spot when a truck (Na 6 Kha 2173) hit the scooter (Ba 39 Pa 8944) nearby Gaththaghar Chowk on Thursday afternoon.

A meeting headed by Chief District Officer (CDO) Roshani Kumar Shrestha constituted a five-member probe committee under the leadership of Assistant CDO Dolendra Prasad Nraula with a mandate to submit report on the accident within seven days.

Earlier, the Nepal Police had already formed a probe committee under the leadership of SP of Valley Police Office following the direction of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak to investigate about the incident.
