DOLAKHA: A fatal motorcycle collision in Bhimeshwar, Dolakha, on Tuesday night claimed the lives of two young men, including the president of the Free Student Union (FSU) at Gaurishankar Multiple Campus, Charikot.

According to Dolakha District Police Office, the accident occurred around 9:30 PM at Ramitedanda, Bhimeshwar Municipality-6, when two motorcycles—Ba.53 Pa 8899 and Ba.Pr.02-034 Pa 3242—collided head-on.

FSU President Shiris Basnet (24) of Bhimeshwar-5, who was also a leader of the ANNFSU, died in the crash.

His motorcycle passenger, Sujan Khatri (26) of Mirge, Baiteshwor-3, also lost his life.

Both succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Chhorolpa Hospital, Charikot.

The rider of the other motorcycle, Nirmal Khadka (25) of Baiteshwor-5, sustained minor injuries.

Police have taken him into custody, and further investigation is underway.
