CHITWAN: A major road accident involving two passenger buses and a freight truck left 30 people injured in Jalbire along the Narayangadh–Muglinhighway on Sunday morning.
Authorities confirmed that one of the victims is currently in critical condition.
According to the District Police Office, the multi-vehicle collision occurred when a Mugling-bound bus from Narayangadh attempted a risky overtake on a truck moving in the same direction, resulting in a head-on collision with another bus arriving from the opposite side.
Emergency responders quickly dispatched the victims to nearby medical facilities.
Currently, 21 individuals are receiving treatment at the Chitwan Medical College, while the remaining nine are being cared for at the College of Medical Sciences (Old Medical College).
Highway traffic, which was briefly brought to a complete standstill following the crash, has smoothly resumed after police cleared the wreckage from the roadway.
